What is Shelter Focus?
Shelter Focus, founded in 2024 by Naysa Prasanna, is an initiative dedicated to finding loving homes for shelter animals through expressive and emotive photography.

In 2022, while adopting a dog from a local shelter, Naysa was struck by the number of animals in need and the realization that rescue alone wasn’t enough. Meeting the mother and litter from which her family adopted a puppy made it clear — these animals needed not just safety, but real chances at loving homes.
She soon noticed that most shelters had limited outreach and low-quality photos that didn’t reflect the animals’ true spirit. Driven by her love for photography and animals, Naysa founded Shelter Focus — a project dedicated to capturing the unique personalities of shelter animals and helping them get adopted.
Through partnerships with shelters like CUPA, Shelter Focus works to tell these animals’ stories and connect them with the homes they deserve.
